The Story.
Innovator(s)
The problem is that the process for out of state employers to hire remote workers in KCMO is very lengthy and seem to have more steps and cost than other cities. The process may make KCMO remote worker less appealing to hire. The solution is to take out the business license requirement which would eliminate the steps for obtaining a license, reduce the cost by $25, and reduce the time for processing by 7-10 business days. Our main audience is the city council and out of state employers. Our next steps is to present the solution to our head administrator in our department who will take it to city council for approval. Next we would ask to change or create a new version of the RD-100 form for remote workers specifically.
