The Story.
Innovator(s)
The problem is that students within the KCK School District need more support in order to combat issues related to drugs, guns, and violence. The normalization of the problems within the district makes it more difficult for students to see their current situation as abnormal. Our solution includes a social media campaign as well as assistance in areas of education and counseling. These would all help students gain skills to help them succeed in the future as well as teaching them to be self advocates and speak out against violence within their schools and communities. Our main audience is the students within the KCK School District. The value my solution would bring to users now and in the future is to spread a positive message within the media in order to combat the normalization of harmful circumstances within the KCK school district and community. The next steps needed would be to obtain a grant in order to fund ad space and technology needed for the campaign as well as community support to put an end to violence within the school district and community.
