The Story.

Innovator(s)

Menlo Inc. provides K12ITC and CivicITC. They bring value to the community by providing rural school areas that lack technology support with easy to handle systems and IT support.

Problem

Customers of Menlo need self-servicing tools.

Solution

Our solution is a Forum named Einstein. It provides self-servicing for customers and reduces the workload on the Menlo employees by reducing the amount of calls and chats that are sent to them.

Target Market

The users of Albert, in which Einstein will be implemented into, along with Menlo employees, who struggle with constant calls of repetitive issues due to a lack of documentation.

Societal Impact

Our solution would bring an auto-documentation library that expands with every user that posts an issue or a solution to the page, allowing for an ever-expanding method of self-servicing to customers, and also eventually drastically reduce the calls-to-employee ratio of Menlo.

Next Steps

We would need to first code the front-end and back-end, then implement security features and testing in order for it to pass all the necessary steps for new websites/pages.

Reflection

Through our internship with Menlo Inc., we have learned a lot about the tech industry and people in general. Going into the internship, some of us were a bit apprehensive as we felt our contributions to the company would have minimal impact, but after opening up and really getting to know and love the company we were able to proudly join and empower the Menlo community. Others of us were rather excited about what we would do in the internship. As we all did more and more of the work, we realized the importance of every field, and eventually didn't feel disappointed at what we did, but rather appreciated it for what it was.

Use of Backer Contributions

We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. If Einstein, a self-servicing IT forum, is able to gain funds and support, we would use the money to build the website and implement it into the Albert dashboard. Our goal is to spread IT knowledge into our community and empower the world. Our product has the vision to start this empowerment through our Menlo clients in the Albert dashboard.
