The Story.
Innovator(s)
The Boy Scouts of America provides programs that instill leadership skills in young kids across the community.
Problem
Our Problem is that, after the pandemic, membership went down. We are trying to find a way to make membership go back up and have more people join the Boy Scouts.
Solution
Our solution is having day camps for kids to come out for one day and see some of the things that they could get to do if they join the Boy Scouts.
Target Market
The main people impacted are the children who cannot get out of the house and play with their friends. The day camp would be an opportunity to let kids play with their friends again.
Societal Impact
The value our solution would bring is having something kids could do when they do not want to be in the house all day.
Next Steps
We would need to find a place were we could do it for three days in a month and get all of the supplies we would need.
Reflection
This work has shown me that I have good leadership skills and can work in a team setting with other people.
Use of Backer Contributions
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. We would use the money to buy more things for the camp, like tents, kitchen gear, and games.
