The Story.
Innovator(s)
WecodeKC is a non profit organization who’s main goal is to provide technology resources for teenagers in Kansas City. Wecode has multiple programs/events hosted every week to help and encourage kids to learn technology.
Problem
Wecode has trouble connecting and contacting younger audiences. There is also a problem with not all tech info being in one place for parents and teenagers who want to do technology/learn more about tech.
Solution
Our solution is to have a website that has all information for all tech related programs/events. This gives our target audience easy access to all the information they need in one click.
Target Market
Our target market is parents / teenagers because, according to our survey, they are the ones looking for these resources.
Societal Impact
The solution we gave out would help encourage our younger generation to get more aware of technology opportunities in Kansas City area.
Next Steps
We need fundings for running the website/advertising and expand our team to make this a reality.
Reflection
This work improved my skills in design thinking and coding. I have gotten more in-depth in both of those areas after the internship.
Use of Backer Contributions
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. We will use it to expand our team to get more help and use it to improve our website we would also get better equipment for our employees.
