The Story.

Innovator(s)

This is the first of four pitch competitions this semester. Our first video is an introduction. Please send feedback at www.ShopSMSD.org!

We took this class with the intent to gain the knowledge and experience of starting and running a business. It is beneficial to know how to run a business regardless of age or circumstances. We wanted more access to cute and unique clothes that don't break the bank and the only really way of doing so is creating our own.

Problem

Our problem is that on one hand you will find cute clothes that are cheap, but they are really low quality and not ethically made, causing you to have to throw them away after just a few uses. The other issue is finding cute and good quality clothes, but those clothes are extremely expensive.

Solution

We plan on solving this problem by hitting the median of the two issues, creating cute apparel, including t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, sweatshirts, homemade jewelry, phone cases, and tote bags, that are good quality but not super expensive.

Target Market

Mid to late teens with a cute and abstract style.

Societal Impact

It gives teens more access to cute clothes that are affordable.

Next Steps

Make more designs and focus on sharing on social media.

Reflection

We're working slowly to create a business that people would want to really support.

Use of Backer Contributions

To start up a business and buy jewelry supplies.
