The Story.
Innovator(s)
Our team is working with the Federal Reserve Bank to raise awareness on financial aspects for Gen Z.
Problem
The problem started as a lack of social media presence of the Federal Reserve but evolved into expanding the outreach of the federal reserve to the younger generation.
Solution
A financial literacy week. This a school-wide initiative that will include a 10- 15 minute lesson from Monday to Friday. These lessons will contain information that the Federal Reserve wants to get out to the youth.
Target Market
The people that benefit are the students because they will be more financially conscious people and the federal reserve will benefit because their efforts to keep people informed won’t be in vain.
Societal Impact
Next Steps
Our next steps are visiting with the Advisory classes to begin scheduling times to test our financial literary lesson plans. The team will need to make sure our lesson plans are focused on what teens need to know about being financially literate.
Reflection
We struggled with some communication complications because the FRB has their email on serious lockdown. Our team worked really well together to ensure our pitch was effective and successful.
