The Story.
Innovator(s)
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City is a nonprofit organization that has served KC for over 100 years. The organization provides youth ages 5-18 with a safe place to grow and gain opportunities such as scholarships.
Problem
The problem we are trying to solve is bringing more teens into the club.
Solution
We propose more teen nights and implement sports tournaments to help bring in new teens as well as encourage members to keep returning. This solution will keep teens entertained by including more activities for teens since we were lacking in said activities.
Target Market
The main people affected are teenagers.
Societal Impact
This solution would help the Boys and Girls Club because it would both provide advertisement for the club attracting new teens as well as providing current teens with activities to fill up their free time. By starting now, the Boys and Girls Club will continue to grow in numbers allowing for bigger events.
Next Steps
We would need resources, such as food, and call on our staff members and security to bring this plan into action.
Reflection
This job has made us step out of our comfort zone and learn to observe quietly and with open eyes. We've also learned to work as a team.
Use of Backer Contributions
We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. We will use the money to pay for food, equipment, paying for staff and security.
