The Story.

Innovator(s)

VPR POP or VPR Patient Outreach Program connects pharmaceutical companies with patients for their marketing campaigns. They also host branded/unbranded webinars for patients to learn more about their treatment options.

Problem

Current webinars hosted by VPR aren't having too many people attend. Which is why we were tasked with increasing the attendance.

Solution

We found several different solutions to increasing attendance, but our best solution was to update the promotion process and especially the flyers that are handed out to the patients. Currently, they are outdated and not pleasing to look at which we found out through our interview/survey work, so we want them to be updated so that they are more accessible and nicer to look at.

Target Market

The main people affected by the problem are the patients (typically older adults) because the flyers are so uninteresting they could potentially overlook it and not be able to learn about potentially life saving treatments.

Societal Impact

Our solution would drive attendance and would, at the very least, allow patients to learn more about their disease and how to live with it and could give patients options in how to deal with their disease.

Next Steps

VPR really already has what it needs to make our solution a reality. They already employ a graphic designer and have employees working with the webinars. The next steps would be cycling out the outdated flyers and creating new designs that are better looking and more accessible.

Reflection

We have learned how to use our skills from school and apply them in an actual professional setting and be able to assist a company with their needs effectively.

Use of Backer Contributions

We are not currently accepting contributions from our voters. This pitch is part of the ProX competition for $5,000. If we received funding, we would use the money to update the flyers and implement other solutions, such as better reminders and more accessibility options for older adults to further drive webinar attendance.
